In this special, guest-free episode, Andrew and Jerry focus on the problem of school shootings in America and identify the culprits. They may not agree entirely, but this wide ranging discussion speaks truth to power on what's causing school shootings, and how to stop them.
An especially serious AJSTW this week as we are reeling from the events in Uvalde, Texas. Andrew and Jerry want to focus squarely on the problems of school shootings (and violence in society generally), and actually have two different approaches as to how to handle the problem. With each successive hot take being more awful than the one before it, all sorts of questions have to be asked... from how did THIS specific school shooting come to happen, to the more general issue of school safety, and then to the decline of society more generally. Andrew and Jerry talk about the issue of guns, of rights, and how this issue relates to the debate over abortion and the right to life. The role of parents is discussed, and how there are failures throughout the political class in all of this.
